More About Nano Building

This game uses 'nano blocks' to explore how small components following simple binding rules can be combined to build a huge variety of different complex structures. This process is conceptually similar to how scientists in the lab combine small molecules to build more complex molecules and materials in nanotechnology. Nano building has two sections: a Sandbox mode where users can experiment at their on pace, and a game mode where users are given a goal shape with restrictions which they need to try to create. The game portion has 4 difficulty settings (easy, medium, hard, and bonus) including 85 challenges altogether!

Nano Building is part of a larger online lesson about bioengineering and nanotechnology for Arizona State University's Ask A Biologist. This activity is fully functional on mobile and tablet devices, and compliant with all modern W3 standards of web development.
